Hello, I am a reformed non-recipe follower. Now that I actually read recipes AND follow them, a whole new world has opened up to me and believe me, it's a good world.
I have tried this chocolate torte several times and love it. It's true that it is loaded with butter and chocolate, and eggs but that's exactly what gives it it's pure flavour. I tell people exactly what's in it and then tell them to eat up before I eat it all!
I love this dish. I've made it about six times now and every single time I've made it, it was fast and fabulous. I now stock everything that I need to make this recipe in the pantry.I also substituted the prawns for halibut and cod which was equally as good if not better than the prawns.
I am so nuts about this tortilla that it is actually threatening my love for the thai prawns. I've made it three times and each time it has been fantastic. My only caution is that you truly have to follow the method outlined of how to cut the potato. I was a little cavalier last time and came up with some wonky potato shape that threatened the tortilla's integrity.
I make it almost every week now but because I have a gluten free diet I make polenta with it instead and pan-fry my fish in corn meal. Very yummy.

I make this rice regularly at home now and love it. When I can't find Pandan Leaves I replace it with lemongrass and it's super yummy too.
