I put a full cup of coconut milk in this...i LOVE coconut milk so figured it would taste even better!
Well i was wrong. the rice looked super gross and the coconut taste was way too perfumey.
c'est la vie. the onions kick ass tho!
This recipe is fun - it is pretty easy - so i can pull it out of my memory even when i am at someone else's house. My mother in law - loved it!
I actually bread the chicken ever so lightly with flour so it adds a nice crust.
i love it served with egg noodles!
i used this method for Kale and it ROCKED! i also did it for bok choy and plain old brocoli...
i tried making the pappadums in the oven and it didnt work. i also held them over an open flame (i have a gas stove) and i burnt them...i don't know how to make them if i dont have a grill...am i a dim bulb?
OK , Dawn is right, I put the pappadams on a cookie sheet and literally nothing happened...I havent had time to try straight on the oven racks...but I can't wait! YAY! Thank you!
i made this little treat so fast it made my girlfriend's head spin! I have never made a prawn dish before and i felt so cool!
ALSO: i didnt have the Kaffir lime (substituted lime juice), couldnt find galangal (subsituted regular ginger), used white sugar not palm sugar and then finally and hastily forgot to add the Thai Basil...and STILL it ws delish...i loved it!
I made this lil gem on the weekend but i used halibut instead!
The panko kicks ass -what a quick and delish way to cook fish!
I made this recipe for my girlfriend and she doesn't even like sweet potatoes. When I served it i just didnt mention exactly what it was. She LOVED it.
It is truly easy, pretty and fresh tasting-not like overcooked rubber sweet potatoes of our childhood.
I couldn't find fresh chanterelles (apparently they are out of season in april) so just bought dried. So both kinds of mushrroms for me were dired and it was GREAT! I also halved the recipe and there was plenty for hungry me and leftovers for 2 the next night!
I found the Brioche at a French bakery on Granville Island. So if you live in Vancouver BC Canada, that is at least one place you can go!
I made this brunch for my parents and it was a easy and unstressful thing to prepare! I cooked the pancetta in the oven so I only had to concentrate on the one element on the stove (for the browning brioche and eggs). It was delicious!
