I think this is a great idea in principle, however I would love to learn how to shop for the write ingredients (freshest, tastiest and type) rather than being enticed by coupons to buy "products".
A pantry shopping list, which cover typical cuisines, especially on spices and condiments, would be on my wish-list.
Just love your site and the way you continue to make it better - thanks a lot!
Suggestion-
I'm printing off your text recipe right now to make a shopping list to take to the store(s). Since your recipies often involve a few steps that have ingredients in each section, the text recipie printout can be 2 - 3 pages when all I need are the ingredients, or half a page of info.
Why not add a "Print Shopping List" link next to the existing "Print Recipe" link that will strip out the shopping list items and format it for printing?
This would be more convenient for us but could be a partner opp for Rouxbe as well...
I wouldn't be opposed to seeing some context ads at the bottom of my list (you should probably give others the ability to opt out however). For example, from my IP address or registration info, you know where I am. Dishing up an ad and discount coupon from Whole Foods near me to buy some or all of the items on my list would be a win-win-win.
Hope this helps!
Cheers, D
